Full Day Tour:
Arrival or departure via our modern-top of the line-Aerial Tram, each cabin was designed with automatic opening and closing systems, offering absolute safety and security for our visitors. Our gondolas have a ventilation system designed for tropical climates, keeping visitors in total comfort. Turu Ba Ri Aerial Tram is 620 meters long, reaching a maximum height of 80 meters, providing a magnificent birds-eye-view of our special Tropical Forest, which we will get to know and understand thanks to the detailed information provided by naturalist guides thought out this attraction, including: Butterfly Garden with a laboratory that explains the complete four-stage metamorphosis (egg, larva, pupa (or chrysalis) and adult) of these beautiful and colorful species, Indian Trail with primary forest and giant centuries-old trees, Orchid & Bromeliad Gardens, Countryman’s Farm offering a glance to our ancestors’ culture and lifestyle, Hibiscus Labyrinth, Cactus Collection, among others.

COSTA RICAN STYLE LUNCH (BUFFET)
Delicious local dishes (main ones prepared in a special wood-burning stove), offering:
a. Entree: Salads; lettuce, tomato, cucumber, mixed cabbage, pasta tuna salad, beet salad, potato salad and avocado.
b. Main dishes: white rice, rice with chicken, black beans, red beans, chili beans (hot), white beans, smashed potatoes, potato picadillo, chayote picadillo, green beans and carrot picadillo, chicken and potatoes, roast beef with tomato sauce, pork ribs, pork fajitas, sweet plantains and freshly handmade tortillas.
c. Desserts: sweet coconut jelly, sweet rice and cinnamon and vanilla custard.
d. Drinks: Real natural fruit drinks (3 options), coffee and tea.

La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Poas Volcano

Full Day Tour:
The tour will take you towards the town of Alajuela and pass by the way to the Agriculture Monument, Juan Santamaría statue and the famous Mangos’ Park. On the top of the Poás volcano we will spend enough time to observe the principal crater with its sulphur fumaroles.

As we continue towards the Caribbean area, we will stop to discover La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a Nature Park where we will walk on the truly spectacular trails that will lead us to Magia Blanca Falls (the largest and the most spectacular of the falls in the area). At the Park you will also witness the largest enclosed butterfly observatory in the country and an amazing hummingbird gallery with a beautiful collection of tropical jewels. A buffet lunch will be ready for us after the tour.

The tour continues by visiting Sarchi, which is the center of Costa Rican handcraft with an abundance of craftsmen that work in fine woods. You will have time to see the artist works in the factory of the famous oxcarts and additionally you can choose your own souvenir to take back home. Now we are ready to go back to San José.

(Afternoon)

Pick-up time: 12:40 p.m. aprox.
Duration: 4 hours

The tour starts taking you through the East of the City of San José, passing the Democracy Park, National Museum, Justice Courts, Los Yoses neighborhood, San Pedro Mall Center and Rodrigo Facio University City of Costa Rica.

We will continue drive down through Barrio Dent, Calderón Guardia Museum, Train Station and the National Park. We will stop at the National Monument in the National Park. You will have a chance to see, very close, the Congress Building, National Library and one of the principal buildings “Tribunal Supremo de Elecciones”.

We will continue through the Morazan Park, Metallic Building School, Insurance Institute, Spain Park, The Yellow House and through SENAC or old factory of alcoholic beverages. Next, close to the Central Park of San José, Melico Salazar Theater and the Metropolitan Cathedral. We will stop at the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum and Opera House for a tour.

After the tour, we will continue to the West of the city visiting La Sabana Metropolitan Park, Art Museum (old control tower of the main airport of San Jose) Nunciatura Apostólica where the residence of Mr. Oscar Arias, who won a Nobel Peace Prize in 1987, is located and Rohrmoser neighborhoods.

We will continue to Plaza Esmeralda where you can taste a delicious cup of coffee, buy some souvenirs or cigars.

Action and adventure

Nature, action and adventure go hand in hand in Costa Rica. The magnificent rain forests serve as the exciting background for those interested on travelling on top of the canopy moving from tree to tree on harnesses, comfortable trolley cars or elevated walkways. Those same forests provide the water volumes that along with a drop of more than 125 feet per mile are the vehicle to world class white water rafting. Bungee jumping, wind sailing, and a lot of other action sports, are all available in reasonably priced one day tours.

Diving and snorkeling

Diving in the warm waters of the Northern Pacific, to observe gigantic manta rays and, whale sharks, or the myriad of multi colored tropical fish in the reefs of the southern Caribbean, is a deeply spiritual experience. Fishing

With shores on both the Pacific and the Caribbean, so close by that in fact there are spots at the high mountains where you can see both oceans just by turning your head, Costa Rica boasts some of the best sports fishing in the world. It is not unusual for a single fisherman to hook 20 tarpon in one day in the rivers of the northern Caribbean, or a similar number of sailfish in the blue waters of the Pacific. Birdwatching

Costa Rica, with an area roughly equivalent to half the size of Florida, is home to more than 800 species of birds. A land bridge between the two American Continents, it is an obliged stopover for birds migrating North to South and viceversa, and home to many indigenous species.
